Our Lady Of Guadalupe carved by A. Cortez of the family of Santeros known as the Cortes Famila of Mexico City from the 1920's through 1960's.
They mainly produced Flat-back carvings of the Madonnas of the world. Each family carver had his own unique style. All Cortes carvings are signed or marked,. This Madonna had a newspaper article taped to her flat backside. we decided to keep it as it notes the History of prior ownership. Please look at the other 4 carvings we have for offer here at the site and a few others available in store only. Please note not all of the Madonnas are on view in physical shop.
