Chiapas Clay Jaguar
This gorgeous contemporary piece is from the small Tzeltal village of Amatenango del Valle, in central Chiapas, renowned for its beautifully decorated pottery. It is not fired in an oven but over an open fire outdoors. Hand-painted without polish or glaze, he is 13"H x 11-1/2"W at tail x 14-1/2" long.
