Tzintzuntzan Story Cloths
These story cloths are made by the Purépecha women of Michoacan, Mexico. A traditional folk art used as a creative way to record and narrate their daily life and culture, these gorgeous cloths are made on manta, a rough, unbleached cotton, and hand-embroidered with yarns and thread in every brilliant color of the rainbow!
The designs are full of life, activity, and sometimes whimsy. Each woman brings her own imagination to these pieces.
