Beautiful nearly new pottery angel from Ameyaltepec or nearby Nahua Pueblo. The Indigenous people of this area have been making their sienna and brown decorated pottery for a long time. Their pottery has always appealed to Mexican folk art collectors much like their bark paintings. Measures 10" tall, 4-1/2" wide and 5" deep.
Luis Blanco Angel
Sweet (Santa María) Atzompa pottery angel done by Teodora Blanco's son Luis. Two doves or love birds are featured on the angel's robe and fish on the wings. Vintage piece is in excellent condition and stands 8" tall, 5" wide and 4-3/8" deep.
San Simon/ Maximón
A Guatemalan Mayan folk saint who is revered, feared, worshiped and despised in Guatemala. This modern folk art santo would make a great starter for the home. Mayan Ajitz Santo
Vintage Articulated Santo of Ajitz, the shaman of Mayan folk saints. He is in direct communication with the Gods. Important to ward off evil in one's home and connection with evil. This rare vintage piece was acquired in Antigua a few years back. Comes with cane. Seated he stands 8-1/2" tall, 3-1/2" wide and 4" deep. Unseated he's nearly 11" tall and 1" deep.

Embroidered Fabric Ex Votos
These ex votos (short for ex voto suscepto, “from the vow made”) are from San Miguel de Allende.
These little votive offerings feature stories of miracles, or of disaster averted. In Mexico, ex votos are made to honor the saint who granted the miracle.
Each of these stories is very specific and shows lots of individual character.
Measurements vary by piece, but are in the range of 11.5"H x 9.5"W, to 11.5"H x 12" W

A pair of large Tlaquepaque Sheppard Figures done by either the Panduro or Goche Families of Tlaquepaque, Jalisco Mexico. Age is most likely 1940'S-60's. Sold together Male figure stand 9,3/4" tall, 7" in length and approximately 4" wide. Female figure is 9" tall, 6" in length and 3" 1/2" wide. Both figures in very good to excellent Vintage condition.
